Bray Wyatt Makes an Unexpected Comeback At The WWE Extreme Rules PPV

At WWE’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view show in Philadelphia on Saturday night, a white rabbit and cryptic messages that had been teased for weeks paid off.

After Riddle beat Seth Rollins in the ring, WWE announcers Michael Cole and Corey Graves were about to end the show when the screen went black and suspicious-looking people started to show up in the crowd.

“He’s got the whole world in his hands,” blared the speakers and characters from Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House appeared in the crowd. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, a door appeared in the middle of the stage and a lantern came out of it.

A man with a scary mask walked through the door. When the man took it off, he was Bray Wyatt and the crowd went crazy. The show was over when the screen went black.

Since last month, WWE had been giving hints that Wyatt might come back. There were hints that Wyatt would come back about 15 months after he left the company, but it was never really certain. During live events and house shows, the company would also play “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane.

In the last few years, Wyatt’s “Fiend” character was one of the most popular shows that WWE put on. During the height of the coronavirus pandemic, WWE was able to make the character popular by putting him in epic feuds with John Cena and Randy Orton.

When it started in 2013, Wyatt’s role as the leader of a cult was also well-liked. Wyatt was, however, set free on July 31, 2021. His release was the end of a 12-year run at WWE. WWE has changed a lot since then.

After Vince McMahon left the company, Triple H whose real name is Paul Levesque, took over creative and brought back stars like Johnny Gargano, Dakota Kai, Hit Row, Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux.
