Brock Lesnar Returns to Raw and Attacks WWE Top Stars: On the “Raw” season premiere episode airing on October 10, Brock Lesnar made a comeback to WWE programming. Before Seth Rollins could enter the ring for his planned title fight against United States Champion Bobby Lashley, Lesnar made an unexpected appearance.
After exchanging a few words with Lashley in the ring, Lesnar assaulted him, potentially arranging a bout between the two for the upcoming Crown Jewel premium live event in November.
In the main event of SummerSlam in August of last year, Lesnar faced Roman Reigns in a Last Man Standing contest for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Lesnar upended the ring with a tractor in a rematch of what WWE billed as “The Biggest WrestleMania Match of All-Time,” but lost to Reigns in the end after being heaped on top of by the majority of the announcers’ booth.

The only other time Lesnar and Lashley would square off in the ring would be during a bout at Crown Jewel. Their first encounter occurred at the Royal Rumble event earlier this year. Lashley defeated Lesnar for the WWE Championship in that first match, but only after Reigns’ intervention and Paul Heyman’s betrayal.

At the Elimination Chamber competition in Saudi Arabia in February, Lesnar eventually defeated Lashley to reclaim the WWE Championship.
The two, however, never actually faced off in the ring because Lashley was disqualified from the Chamber match because of a fictional injury. After the incident, he missed many weeks of work due to a legitimate shoulder injury.
