New York Fashion Week is among us, and this season features a fantastic lineup of new talents — and some well-known names that are merely new to New York. Shows in September are always anticipated, but after several “virtual” and “hybrid” seasons, New York’s schedule is looking more packed than it has in a while, with designers keen to show off their most excellent work and the city hoping to reclaim its place as a global fashion hub.
Newer companies like Bobblehaus and Tara Babylon are always welcome additions to the roster. In addition, international powerhouses like Fendi, Marni and Cos will make their first-ever appearances at New York Fashion Week. Below, you’ll get to know the fresh faces of the Spring 2023 roster.
7 For All Mankind has been producing clothing for men, women and children that easily adapts to any aesthetic and successfully combines luxury with casualness since 2000. Over twenty years later, on September 8, it finally had a presentation scheduled at New York Fashion Week.

AGE
Age was founded in 2008 by Adrian Norris and Edwina Forrest to ” empower women through beautiful and compelling designs.” The label, which originated as an attempt to unite coastal and urban aesthetics, is perhaps best known for the colorful dresses, feminine silhouettes, and effortlessly romantic pieces it produces, or for the celebrities who wear them, such as Madonna, Katy Perry, and Gigi Hadid. After having previously presented at Australia Fashion Week, Aje will be showing in the United States on September 9.
ANDREW KWON
By 2020, Korean-American designer Andrew Kwon, a graduate of Parsons, will have established his namesake label, which focuses on haute couture wedding and evening wear. He has previously shown at New York Bridal Fashion Week, and as of September 12, he will also be showing in the ready-to-wear category.
BAD BINCH TONG TONG
Terrence Zhou, the founder of Bad Binch Tong Tong, is known for pushing the boundaries of traditional garment production with his company by specializing in bizarre designs and arachnophobia-inducing silhouettes, several of which have been published on the covers of various magazines. On September 9, the company will give its very first presentation.
BLACK BOY KNITS
Black Boy Knits was established in 2020 by Jacques Agbobly with the purpose of uplifting Black, queer and immigrant voices through the lens of a global perspective. This is to be accomplished by drawing parallels between the past and the present and bringing artisanal traditions to the forefront of the fashion industry. Beginning on September 12, the brand, now one of the finalists for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund will open a showroom during New York Fashion Week.
BOBBLEHAUS
Bobblehaus is a regenerative New York-designed fashion brand founded by Ophelia Chen and Abi Lierheimer. The brand creates trendy, unisex clothing for men and women from scraps of fabric and recycled cotton (planting ten trees for every item sold). According to a release, it will debut at New York Fashion Week for Spring 2023, presenting a ready-to-wear collection on September 8 inspired by “new life, the concept of blooming… and street style in both Shanghai and New York.” This will be the company’s first participation in New York Fashion Week.
COS
COS is an abbreviation for “Collection of Style” and the company is a minimalist fashion retailer under the umbrella of the H&M Group. In 2007, it made its debut in London, and since then, it has expanded to a total of 30 markets, with 167 locations. COS was a part of the calendar for London Fashion Week during the previous season, but beginning September 13, it will be a part of the calendar for New York Fashion Week.
FENDI
Fendi is a familiar face on the ready-to-wear circuit in Milan; the only reason it is considered a rookie during New York Fashion Week is that the Italian brand has never presented a collection as part of the official program for the event. The company shared the unexpected news with the world via an image of Linda Evangelista posted to Instagram. The performance is scheduled for September 9.
LIONNE
Although Latoia Fitzgerald’s Lionne has already been seen on the catwalk, this will be the first time it is shown during New York Fashion Week. The fashion house, whose designs have been seen on Karraueche Tran, Cassie, and Camila Coelho, will present a catwalk display on September 8.
MARNI
Marni will join it with a runway show on September 10, as part of the Milan-based brand’s plan to kick off a so-called world tour to reach its global communities more intimately. In addition, Fendi is not the only Italian transplant on the calendar for New York Fashion Week.
MIA VESPER
Mia Vesper is an independent label based in New York that incorporates new, vintage and artisan-made textiles into its designs. The name is undoubtedly familiar to you because Beyoncé worked with the business to create a one-of-a-kind gown for her “Black Is King” performance and purchased sixty different outfits for her dancers to wear in the accompanying visual album. On September 11, the company will present its Fall 2022 collection.

MIDNIGHT STUDIOS
Midnight Studios, led by Shane Gonzales, will debut during New York Fashion Week on September 14. Following the L.A. fashion week in 2014, the menswear label was established. Creative has already established himself as a notable figure in the fields of music and art direction.
MIRROR PALAIS
Before launching Mirror Palais in 2019, Marcelo Gaia spent nearly a decade working in the fashion industry as a stylist. After that, he co-founded a different brand with a buddy before going into business for himself. Despite being produced in New York, the clothing is influenced by Gaia’s Brazilian ancestry and features a combination of prints from the 1980s and flowery patterns that are more feminine. The first Mirror Palais runway show is scheduled for September 13.
TARA BABYLON
The British-Iraqi designer Tara Babylon is an alumna of both CSM and Parsons. Her eponymous brand emphasizes color, craft, textiles, and performance art through the prism of a gender-fluid perspective. At a presentation that will take place on September 8 — a first for her label — she will broadly demonstrate hand-made techniques.
