On the same day that Aaron Carter‘s body was discovered at his house on November 5, Nick Carter performed in London with the Backstreet Boys, allowing his feelings to show.
Pictures of Nick and Aaron flashed on the screens while the band played “No Place” at London’s O2 Arena. Kevin Richardson spoke to the crowd after the band had completed playing.
“That was the very final single of the DNA album and that song is incredibly significant to us because it’s about family,” he continued as the crowd cheered Nick on.

Richardson kept on thanking the crowd, and at one point AJ McLean came up to Nick and gave him a hug, Brian Littrell soon followed suit. A member of her family passed away yesterday, so tonight we have a few heavy emotions,” Richardson said.
Nick was heard wiping away tears in the background as he vowed to dedicate the next song to Aaron. Earlier, Nick had posted a tribute to Aaron on Instagram.

“My heart is broken. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded,” he shared. “I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed.
Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss, but the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you Chizz. Now you can finally have the peace you could never find here on earth…. I love you baby brother.”
