Henry Cavill has made his second appearance as the legendary investigator Sherlock Holmes in the film Enola Holmes 2. Cavill played Sherlock, who accompanied his younger sister Enola (Brown) as she took on her second case as a detective-for-hire in Victorian-era England, with Brown, Thewlis, and Bonham Carter.
Cavill is best recognised for his three appearances as Clark Kent/Superman in the DCU and for Mission: Impossible – Fallout, both of which were released on Netflix. The British actor, now 39, will likely be in the public consciousness for a long time thanks to upcoming projects.
After a four-year break, Cavill made a surprise appearance in the post-credits sequence in Black Adam, and the news of his comeback as Superman has since dominated headlines. Fans of the legendary character will have to wait until Cavill and DC announce Superman’s next big screen appearance, but the actor will have major roles in many other projects in the meanwhile.
Cavill’s forthcoming projects largely feature lead parts in large-scale films. All of Henry Cavill’s confirmed film and TV projects following Enola Holmes 2 are listed here.

The actor’s tight production schedule or creative differences are two probable causes for Cavill’s departure, but he has not given either as a reason.
