Following Takeoff’s passing on Nov. 1 at age 28 and the outpouring of condolences on social media, Quavo, an uncle and fellow member of the Migos, as well as Cardi B, the wife of Offset, the third member of the group and Takeoff’s cousin are among those mourning his passing. Following the passing of his nephew less than two weeks earlier, Quavo, 31, broke his silence on Saturday, Nov. 11.
First, he posted several photos of the couple on Instagram from their early years up until the height of their renown. The rapper merely added the infinity symbol, rocket ship, broken heart and dove emojis to the message. Quavo provided three slides with a lengthy tribute to the late rapper Takeoff in a second Instagram post that was styled as a letter to Takeoff.
Quavo began the lengthy statement by writing, “It’s very hard to tell you I’m going to miss you because you were always with me and we did everything together.” Since we were young, you have always stood by my side, gazing up at me with your eyes waiting for me to take the next step. You always made sure I completed the task first so you could complete it properly with me.
The late rapper was not just the “quietest in the room,” according to Quavo, but also the “funniest guy” there. Quavo writes, “Nothing ever truly bothered to Take, and he didn’t bother anybody.” “He is the world’s most unbothered individual. Because what Take said was the law and he wasn’t going to back down, he never got angry, never shouted and when he did, he quit the room.
It was HIS ambition to become a rapper because I didn’t know what I wanted to do, according to Quavo, who added that his nephew had a “love for music.”

Quavo claimed that Takeoff was unconcerned with recognition despite his accomplishments. “He never concerned about titles, recognition, or what man got the most shine that wasn’t him,” the speaker said. As long as we returned it to the family, he didn’t care about anything!
Since nephew wasn’t it, Quavo said, “I’ve been trying to figure out what you are to me this whole time.” We always knew we were much closer than that, and hearing the name “nephew” or hearing “Uncle and Phew” made me feel ancient too.
Because you are my sister’s son, I knew you weren’t my brother, therefore I refrained from calling you that. Now that I finally understand it, you are OUR angel and have been watching over me and the rest of us while we were alive, making sure that everyone felt your love and hugs and bringing our dreams to life.
When asked about being Takeoff’s uncle, Quavo stated he was “happy” to be both. He continued, “I’m proud we seen the globe together and done things we couldn’t ever fathom together.”
“I am always responsible for taking care of my nieces and nephews.” I’ll make sure that whenever we relocate or make a decision, we always ask ourselves, “What would Take?” Added he. “Always has been, never will change.
We both knew that we would always be together for the rest of our lives and that we would soon be seeing one another again. I adore you thousand times over. I suppose God just doesn’t need my help, but I’ll never leave you. So that you might ask Him on my behalf what I need to do to be with you once more!
Quavo concluded the touching homage by writing, “Whatever we have to do God, bring us the tools now cuz we want to be with Take. 3 you, nephew! On Friday, November 11, Cardi B paid tribute to the late rapper in an Instagram post. In her carousel post, she included several images of Takeoff, including some of the rap group as a whole.
She captioned the photo, “Takeoff your untimely passing has brought a great lot of heartache and sorrow to many many people. “The impact you had on our world was enormous and it has been difficult for us to comprehend this sorrow. Although I am devastated, I am thankful for all the priceless moments we were able to have while you were here with us.
Cardi B referred to his passing as a “nightmare” and said that his loss caused her “incomparable pain.” She said, “The emptiness your brothers are feeling is heartbreaking, and I pray that you give Offset and Quavo as well as your friends and family, the fortitude to keep going as they are attempting to deal with this loss.
“I think that angels reassure loved ones that they are watching over them, that they are fine, and that they are joyful… Send some of those to your mother. “As a Migos fan it saddens me to look at photographs and videos of y’all together, and hearing y’all songs that altered the music industry, pushed the culture and had the clubs blazing,” the “I Like It,” the artist said about her own experience as a fan of the rap group and their history.
Although she acknowledged that things would never be the same again, she continued, “I know your brothers and y’all followers will make sure the world never forgets the effect you made.” “I’ll never forget your incredible talent or your dope a— demeanour.
You deserve every bit of serenity and paradise, so I pray that you are there. I am aware that God embraced you as He unlocked the celestial gates for you. TakeOff, I’ll still adore you after 4L and after you rest in power.
At a Houston bowling alley, Takeoff was killed in a shooting. Chief Troy Finner of the Houston Police Department said that the rapper was discovered dead outside 810 Billiards & Bowling following a private party. Quavo was present at the time of the incident, according to KPRC.
In a statement to NBC News, Takeoff’s attorney, Drew Findling also confirmed the rapper’s passing. The tragic passing of Kirshnik Ball, better known to his followers as Takeoff, leaves me and my company in shock, Findling said. “Takeoff was a very kind and compassionate soul in addition to being a talented musician with boundless skill. He will be sadly missed both now and forever.
Takeoff was laid to rest at a memorial service attended by A-list celebrities on Friday, November 11. Along with the anticipated 20,000 attendees, Justin Bieber, Drake and Cardi B were said to be present, and Quavo and Offset gave speeches during the service.
