Asad J. Malik’s volumetric content company has released a new social app that allows users to record material alongside launch artists Vic Mensa, Palaye Royale, Poppy, and Pussy Riot. Sir Chloe is also included in the app.
Jadu may become your go-to app if you’re the type of person who, at the very least, fantasises about sharing the stage with their favourite musicians.
Following the statement made the previous year that the volumetric studio will be scaling in Los Angeles, California, Asad J. Malik’s 1RIC has released its most recent project, titled “Terminal 3: A Jester’s Tale.” The app gives users the ability to access pre-recorded 3D “holographic” performances from a handpicked slate of artists and to create photo and video footage “alongside” them using augmented reality. The performances come from a variety of genres, including dance, rock, and electronic.
Popular games like Pokemon GO and social media apps like Snapchat and Instagram have made augmented reality more accessible to the general public over the previous five years by incorporating location-based gaming and filtering options.

In the past two years, TikTok has gained significant popularity with younger demographics, and as a result, the duet has become an essential component of the social media diet of “digital natives” all across the world. Asad J. Malik, CEO of 1RIC and founder of Jadu, emphasised that the purpose of Jadu is to develop a language that can be used for creative engagement.
Malik was quoted as saying in a release that “we want Jadu to enable a new sensation of presence.” “There is something wonderful about allowing artists to share this new sense of presence with young audiences who care so strongly about them,” the author writes. “[T]hese audiences represent the future of the art world.”
Included in the Jadu library are launch artists like Vic Mensa, Palaye Royale, Poppy, Pussy Riot, and Sir Chloe. Each of these artists has a sizable fanbase among younger demographics.

Malik is quoted as saying, “I’m quite proud of our initial round of artists.” “At such an impressionable age, their followers rely on their music to help them express themselves and make sense of who they are.” We are here to assist in making that connection stronger.
Each hologram is a 15-second clip that users may place in their universe and respond to in their unique way. Users can place the holograms in their worlds. After opening the app and selecting the hologram, users must then scan their immediate environment to position the hologram within their zone. The finished video can be downloaded to their smartphone and then distributed across several additional social media platforms.
Using augmented reality (AR) to create a relationship that goes beyond the typical one-way distribution format with music artists in the creation of user-generated material is one of the services that Jadu makes available to both music artists and their fans.

When the app first launches, users will have access to one free performance from each of the five musicians featured, but going forward, new artists will be added regularly.
There is already a new slate scheduled to be delivered within the next few weeks. These holographic recordings were made at Metastage, a volumetric capture studio that creates a volumetric video (video with “volume”) These volumetric videos were used in the production of these holographic recordings.
Each artist performed a section of a forthcoming single in front of a ring of 106 cameras, and the resulting 2D movies were “stitched” together to create a 3D video.
Jadu is free for iOS on the App Store. For more information, visit the official Jadu Instagram and website.
