Although these characters may return for American Horror Story season 12, it seems unlikely that Paulson will; the actress said in an interview with Variety that while she’s open to returning, she’s also prepared to pass the franchise to new actors.
Charlie Carver, Joe Mantello, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Denis O’Hare, and Zachary Quinto from American Horror Story: NYC could all theoretically return for season 12, given they frequently work with Ryan Murphy. Russell Tovey also assumed a significant position as Patrick in NYC, indicating that he’ll return for a second season of Ryan Murphy’s show.
