In Pokemon GO, the last events of the Season of Light are going on right now, so trainers should start thinking about what the early winter months will bring. The ninth season of the mobile AR game starts on December 1, 2022.
It should be full of activities, spawns, bonuses, and events to keep players interested during the cold months of December, January, and February. Even though we don’t know everything about season 9, a new trailer just came out that gives a lot of hints about what to expect during the Season of Mythical Wishes.

The short teaser shows a lot of familiar faces from the Hoenn region and ends with a pretty exciting Legendary teaser for Pokemon GO Tour 2023.
During the Season of Mythical Wishes, it sounds like there will be a unique mechanic that lets players choose from a variety of Timed Research Tasks to control their own fate and make their wishes come true.
More information is sure to come soon, but so far, we know at least four things are coming:
- Mythical Wishes: Make a wish!
- Winter Holiday Part 2
- Lunar New Year
- Valentine’s Day
Based on what has happened in the past, players can probably expect to hear about a lot more events soon. These four are just a few of the biggest.
As more information about the Season of Mythical Wishes comes out, it’s likely that the full list of seasonal spawns and ongoing bonuses will be shown in the next few days.
🌠 It’s time to make a wish, Trainers…
