Significant changes are taking place in the world of fashion mogul Julia Haart as of the recent release of the drama-filled second season of My Unorthodox Life on Netflix. For starters, Julia and her daughter Batsheva Haart are both going through a difficult separation from their father, Silvio Scaglia, and subsequent divorce.
There’s a pretty lovely scene where Julia gets into bed with Batsheva in the first episode while Silvio is packing up their Manhattan penthouse. The couple discusses the strangeness of no longer wearing their (big) wedding bands.
As you may recall, in season 1, Batsheva and her husband, Ben Weinstein, were portrayed as a blissfully happy married couple who went through what appeared to be the typical ups and downs many young couples have.
Ben, however, was uncomfortable with some of Batsheva’s unconventional habits, including wearing pants, and the two had different ideas about when to start having kids. Ben yet appeared to want to help. In November 2021, the two made their breakup public, and now Batsheva is disclosing some information about what went wrong in the new season.
Everyone asks where Ben is now and how things got to this point because Ben, who had a significant role in season 1, is no longer in sight. Let’s get to it. Do CHeck Andrew Shue’s Divorce: With Whom Did He Split Up?
Batsheva was only 19 when they were married
To summarise, this couple had been dating since they were pretty young. My Unorthodox Life season 1 revealed that Batsheva was just 19 years old, which she regularly brings up in the show. Nevertheless, they seemed to have a lot in common, and Ben was prepared to live somewhat unconventionally to win his wife over.
“I don’t regret getting married young because of who I married, but I would not recommend getting married young,” Ben said in a YouTube Q&A last year. “I never like to say I regret anything in my life, but if circumstances happened again, I definitely would not get married so young,” Batsheva added. “Getting married at 19 is too young.”
In season 1, he plays a caring husband
Ben was seen with his wife living in New York City, but he also made it plain that he was still getting used to living apart from his Orthodox upbringing. one instance.
When Batsheva entered their kitchen wearing slacks, he struggled but still made an effort to be helpful. (Pants are not authorized for Orthodox Jewish ladies as they are not considered modest.)
He received a shout-out on Instagram from Batsheva in October 2020, along with several adorable pictures of the two. Must Check out Why Did Tarek and Christina Divorce? When Did the Flip or Flop Stars Split?

Why did Batsheva and Ben get divorced?
Last year, the couple released a joint statement about their breakup on social media.
“After time and consideration, we have decided to separate,” the statement says, per People. “We have so much love and respect for each other but have realized that it is time to take some space to ensure that each of us lives the most joyous, fulfilling lives possible.
There are no secrets nor salacious events to blame. We are just two best friends who met at a very young age and have grown over the past 9 years, each in our way. We appreciate your continuous support as we embark on this new chapter of our lives separately.”
In February 2022, when filming for the second season started, Haart was suddenly fired because of her messy divorce from Scaglia, which was still happening at the time.
She was also told that she did not own half of the company, and Batsheva and Ben decided to go their separate ways because their views on religion no longer matched.
