Gugu Mbatha-Raw is the main character in the thriller series.
Today, Apple TV+ revealed that the second season of its popular show Surface had been ordered. The psychological thriller series, which debuted earlier this year, depicts a woman’s struggle to regain herself after losing her memories in what appears to be a suicide attempt. Season 2’s debut date has not yet been specified.
Surface centers on Sophie (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), a character who attempted suicide but sustained a terrible head injury that rendered her memoryless. In the first season, filmed in San Francisco, Sophie tried to figure out who she was before suffering a fatal injury. It also puts a lot of emphasis on Sophie discovering who she is. However, Season 2 will examine the reasons behind the series’ central mystery.
In season two, Sophie will visit her native London and unearth some unresolved love affairs that have been bothering her for a while. She will learn about her true origins. Sophie will know that she cannot escape her history and that the devastation she left in San Francisco will eventually catch up with her. Will Netflix release Paradise PD Season 4 in 2022?
