Rip Wheeler, played by old Hauser on Yellowstone, is a rugged guy who everyone loves. His popularity on the show has skyrocketed. Starting with the pilot, Rip has been a consistent presence in Yellowstone. He is John Dutton’s trusted ranch hand and Beth Dutton’s husband.
Fans are excited to see what the show has in store for Rip in season five. At the end of the fourth season, Rip and Beth got married in a small ceremony at the ranch. It was clear that the newlyweds were overjoyed to be starting their new life together by exchanging wedding vows.

Will Cole Hauser Be Leaving Yellowstone?
After four seasons as Rip Wheeler on Yellowstone, Cole Hauser has no plans to leave the show. What will happen to Cole Hauser after Season 5 of Yellowstone, since there has been no word on a Season 6, is a mystery. Hauser told the SAG-AFTRA Foundation during a live webcast, “personally just for me if you’re asking me, I like to go to work and actually live and grow with the character and not know the end at all, you know.”
With the perils of working on Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, no character is entirely safe. Even though we have no idea what will happen to Rip in the upcoming fifth season, the Yellowstone Instagram page recently shared a video with the statement “Celebrating Rip Wheeler today and always. PS: Get ready, #YellowstoneTV fans. Something big is coming. 👀.”
In the clip, Beth selects a special day to celebrate Rip’s birthday. While it may seem like an innocuous tweet, some viewers have taken it as a sign that Rip will be killed off in Season 5.
That #Yellowstone fight between Beth and Summer was epic and hilarious at the same time.

Cole Hauser Wants to Continue Working with Gil Birmingham and Taylor Sheridan
Hauser remarked on the SAG-AFTRA Foundation‘s live stream, “Gil and I, we don’t get an opportunity – I wanna work with Gil a little bit more.” After Gil’s enthusiastic “Yes!” As everyone in the room laughed, Hauser said, “And Wes [Bentley], I mean we’ve just had a few of scenes but it’s like I love, you know, the sensation of everything being new. What I love most about Taylor is that he always manages to surprise me in some way.”
The moderator from the SAG-AFTRA Foundation was curious about the conclusion of the Yellowstone series and asked the cast and crew about their theories. All the cast responded no, but Hauser intervened by stating “Taylor does, it depends on what bottle of wine he’s drinking (laughs) (laughs).”
As it stands, it is still unclear how or when the Yellowstone series will conclude. However, recent comments from the entire ensemble indicate that their love for the show is as strong as ever.
