On November 23, 2016, Moana was released in theatres across the United States. On March 7, 2017, in the United States, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment released the film on Blu-ray (2D and 3D) and DVD. On February 21, 2017, the album was released digitally.
The details surrounding Disney’s Moana sequel are currently scant. Rumor has it, though, that Disney is talking with The Rock and Auli’i about a new film. These whispers have sparked hopes that Moana is hatching a daring strategy for her return.

Moana 2 Cast: Who Will Be In?
It’s hard to say which beloved characters will make a return in this exciting animated picture, but you can probably count on seeing at least some of the following:
- Moana, played by Auli’i Cravalho, is the daughter of chief Tui and his wife Sina in the island nation of Te Fiti and is selected by the ocean to restore the island’s beating heart.
- Characterized by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Maui is a brave demigod who takes on different forms and travels with Moana. The demigod has a strong will yet is frequently short with others.
- Tala, Tui and Moana’s maternal grandmother, is portrayed by Rachel House.
- Temuera Marrison plays Chief Tui of Motunui Island and Tala’s son in the film “Moana.”
- Jemaine Clement plays the malevolent coconut crab Tamatoa in What We Do in the Shadows. Tamatoa hails from Lalotai, the Realm of Monsters.
- As Sina, Nicole Scherzinger. The chieftain of Moana’s village and the mother of her daughter.
- Alan Tudyk voiced Moana’s alien pet Heihei. The third voice of the Villagers is likewise his.
In the role of young Moana, Louise Bush - Oscar Kightley plays Tui, a fisherman, while Chris Jackson provides his singing voice.

Moana 2 Plot: What Will Happen?
In the film Moana, the protagonist is an independent young woman who sets out on an epic quest to unite a sacred artifact with the ocean goddess Te Fiti.
If a great light should ever fall onto her island, she will journey in search of the legendary demigod Maui, who she believes will bring the relic back to Te Fiti and therefore save her people.
How Moana 2 will pick up remains a mystery. It is believed that the sequel will pick up after the end of the original film, which depicted Moana’s triumphant homecoming after her epic trip.
