A Recap of The Witcher Season 2

After the Battle of Sodden, The Witcher season 2 begins. Geralt locates Ciri but is unable to identify Yennefer. Geralt and Tissaia set out to find Yennefer but were unable. Thus they concluded she was dead.

Yennefer, dead all along, used fire magic to triumph at the Battle of Sodden. Despite being effective in a dire situation, the spell caused Yennefer to lose her abilities. Geralt departs for Kaer Morhen to keep Ciri safe over the winters while she heads back to Aretuza to regain her talents. Geralt prepares Ciri to defend herself in dangerous situations if Geralt ever fails to do so, along with Vesemir and other Witchers.

Ciri, controlled by the Deathless Mother, is the focal point of the season. Numerous incidents were caused by the fear-hungry demon, Voleth Meir, who also tricked Yennefer into betraying Geralt by sacrificing Ciri. The Wraiths of Mörhog, popularly known as the Wild Hunt, also make an appearance. Since those of the Elder Blood are said to be the saviors of the race, they refer to Ciri as “the kid of the Elder Blood.”
