If the first official teaser trailer for the highly anticipated “Barbie” movie is any indication, life in plastic is really great. Warner Bros. released the 75-second trailer on Friday.
It gives fans a great look at Margot Robbie as the famous doll that changed the way kids play with toys. Warner Bros. Discovery is the parent company of both CNN and Warner Bros. Movies.
Greta Gerwig is in charge of the live-action movie and the teaser starts with a spoof of “2001: A Space Odyssey” with earthy colours. Young girls play happily with their baby dolls in a desert.

A narrator intones: “Since the beginning of time, since the first little girl ever existed, there have been dolls. But the dolls were always and forever baby dolls. Until …”
When Mattel first made Barbie in 1959, it came with a striped swimsuit. When a huge Barbie appears in the landscape, the girls turn on their old dolls.
The ad then cuts to short clips of Barbie’s dream world, which is bright pink and fluorescent and ends with a choreographed dance number. Ryan Gosling shows up as Ken, Barbie’s tanned, toned, and plastic boyfriend. He is a blonde.
Noah Baumbach and Gerwig wrote the script for the movie together. Will Ferrell, Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, and America Ferrera are all in the cast.
So far, most people on social media have been happy about the trailer. One viewer tweeted: “Booking a week off on holiday somewhere with no discourse for when this is released.”
Another person said it would be “the best movie ever” with confidence. On July 21, 2023, “Barbie” should open in theatres… Follow us only on Lee Daily for more news like this.
