Lucy Fallon was radiant as she displayed her growing baby bump in a recent photo. The former Coronation Street actress and her footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson announced their pregnancy in September. Lucy kept her pregnancy a secret for five months before announcing it to her fans and has since been documenting her and the baby’s development for them.
Lucy, who played Bethany on the ITV soap from 2015 to 2020, had a miscarriage earlier this year, so the happy baby news came as quite a contrast. After the news came as a “massive shock and surprise,” Lucy and Ryan decided to get a private scan at seven weeks along to get some early reassurance but were then given the devastating news that Lucy had miscarried.
She described the ordeal as “traumatic and horrendous” to OK! magazine. It was very up and down because first the hospital said they couldn’t see anything on the scan but then the scan came back clear. She went on to describe her “getting worse” pregnancy symptoms.
Lucy, who underwent surgery after her miscarriage, said, “There were no signs I had had a miscarriage, so that made it more of a shock.” Lucy, a Blackpool resident and the wife of Preston North End footballer Ryan, recently celebrated her six-month pregnancy milestone.
Their child is due on February 2, 2023. When she first announced her pregnancy, Lucy said, “We’re very fortunate that it happened again for us.” She had taken a pregnancy test while on vacation in the Maldives. We weren’t trying to force it, and I wasn’t trying to force myself, but things worked out that way. In retrospect, it was a foreordained event.
On Wednesday, Lucy posted a stunning photo to Instagram of herself modeling a pair of black underwear. The expecting mother put on the black bra and briefs and smiled broadly as she gently patted her expanding stomach. She wore a layering of gold necklaces and other jewelry on her hands and had her icy blonde hair pulled back into a chic low bun with just a few stray strands framing her face.
Lucy wrote “[cloud emoji] 9” as the caption, then revealed that the image was an advertisement for the lingerie, swimwear, and clothing line Pour Moi. Helen Flanagan, Lucy’s former co-star on Corrie, was among the first to gush over the photo, writing, “You look beautiful Lucy.”
Fans were on board right away, too. You look radiant, as @gemruss2020 pointed out. Being a mother is a blessing, and you will do a fantastic job. Like @allforcorrie said, “You radiate joy. You are going to be the most amazing mother. In the words of @meaney1405, “Absolutely beautiful.”
Lucy, dressed in a billowing white gown, attended the Pride of Britain Awards earlier this week and radiated beauty on the red carpet. The Blackpool-born actress who played Bethany Platt on Corrie, and who had a nightmare with fake tan in preparation for the London-held awards honouring brave and selfless individuals, smiled serenely as she walked the red carpet.
Ryan Kay, her stylist, posted a screenshot of his conversations with the actress about the leaked tan to Instagram. “Thank goodness I didn’t bring my dress,” Lucy said. She joked to Ryan, “My fake tan has leaked hahahahahaha.” Ryan captioned the image, “When @lucyfallon sends me this. God bless the fact that I’ll be wearing your outfit on the way to #prideofbritain and not my own!
