Waiting, Fun Boy Three’s second album was released in February of 1983 and included the Top Ten singles “The Tunnel of Love” and “Our Lips Are Sealed.” The latter was a collaboration between Hall and Jane Wiedlin, whose group The Go-had Go’s already achieved mainstream success in the United States. Upon its first release in June 1981, the song “Ghost Town” spent three weeks at the top of the UK Singles Chart and a total of 10 weeks in the top 40. Hall’s “Friday Night Saturday Morning,” which appeared on both sides of a record, was about a night out at the Coventry Locarno.
