Metro Police Are Looking Into ‘Road Rage’ Murder on I-24

A gunshot on Interstate 24 on Christmas Day claimed the life of a 32-year-old Greenbrier resident. Road rage is thought to be a potential motive by Metro Police, who are seeking the suspect.

On Sunday, it happened on I-24 West between Shelby Avenue and James Robertson Parkway exits soon after noon.

According to police, Christopher Spaunhorst was found dead inside his blue Ford F-150 pickup vehicle, which also had gunshot holes in the driver’s side door and glass. When emergency personnel arrived, they discovered him with gunshot wounds. After being transported, Spaunhorst passed away at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

‘Metro Police are looking into road rage’ murder on I-24

Detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department are investigating the murder of a 32-year-old man on Christmas Day. At noon on Sunday, police officers responded to a shooting on Interstate 24.

According to authorities, Christopher Spaunhorst, of Greenbrier, was operating his blue Ford-150 pickup truck on I-24 West.

Spaunhorst was found wounded when police and medical personnel arrived. According to the police, Spaunhorst’s pickup driver’s side door and window received many gunshot wounds.

Along the James Robertson Parkway’s median wall, the truck had stopped. After being transported, Spaunhorst passed away at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Road rage, according to metro police, may have been a factor in the murder.

Any driver who saw a different vehicle moving next to Spaunhorst’s pickup on I-24 at noon is asked to call Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463, according to detectives.

Additionally, Crime Stoppers requests that anyone with information regarding the guy who shot the truck many times get in touch with them. Callers to Crime Stoppers are eligible for a monetary reward and can remain anonymous.
