Kathy Whitworth joined the tour in 1958 when the Ladies Professional Golf Association was still a fledgling organization. With 88 event victories throughout her lengthy career, she became one of the most successful golfers in both men’s and women’s history.

I remember seeing Kathy coming by the gym, not realizing what a famous icon she was, but instead thinking about how tall and athletic you both were. I happened to be at the dinner theatre one night and saw you with another couple (of women) laughing and having a blast. I was awestruck and still am.
