The location of a homicide in West Comick is still being processed by crime scene investigators. At 7.15 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28th, police were called to a home on Little London Lane in West Comick, close to Snaith, in response to claims of an attack on a 54-year-old male. He was rushed to the hospital, but he passed very soon after.
A 53-year-old female suspect has been taken into custody. She is presently being held by authorities as they continue their investigation. During this trying time, the family of the victim is receiving assistance from cops who have received specialized training to comfort victims’ families. The police have determined there is no broader danger to the community.
“We understand that news of a tragic incident such as this will cause shock and concern to people in the village and the surrounding areas,” said Detective Chief Inspector Nicola Burnett. But I want to reassure people that this was just a one-off between persons who already knew each other and that the rest of the public is not in any danger.
