Windows 10 Next-Gen Update Announced for Fall [2021]

After years of speculation for Windows 10X, finally, there’s a big update on the future of Windows 10 OS.

During the recently concluded build 2021 keynote, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella teased something big arriving with the next major Windows Update.

As per the official announcement, the upcoming Windows Update is set to bring multiple changes in the design aspects of the operating system.

And going forward in this post, I’ll mainly focus on all the changes you can expect to arrive in the next Windows 10 build.

Now, let’s get started:

Major Changes for Next Gen. Windows 10 Update?

I know you are eager to know all the major changes coming with the next Windows 10 update.

I won’t waste more of your time & right away start with the list of next major updates. Let’s get started:

File Explorer

At the moment, Windows 10 comes with a quite common file explorer where you can change its background color to Black.

This is the 1st major change that’ll be happening around the Windows 10 OS. So, keep an eye out for the official statement with all the major changes.

Start Menu

A start menu in the Windows 10 OS or even previous version is used to search for any file stored on your PC and directly access a particular installed upright on the start menu.

Earlier, Windows 10X Next was expected to release the start menu update with a material design.

Now, that much-touted update isn’t happening, you can expect the same kind of changes down with the next major Windows 10 update.

Action Center

Last but not least changes would be happening with the Action Center of Windows 10.

For those of you who don’t know, Action Center is a centralized process where you can receive security & maintenance messages in real-time.

Now, with the next Windows 10 update, this menu will get a complete reVamp.

However, just like the previous versions of Windows 10, you can expect to have quick access to the action center via the quick settings panel.

Even though the next build 2021 update will come with a couple of changes, you can expect to see the biggest design changes happening only around these 3 areas.

Additional Changes Announced for Next Gen. Windows 10 OS

Significant UI changes aren’t just limited to just the 3 main areas mentioned at the top. In the next update, you can expect to get an entirely new Windows app store with additional opportunities for developers to monetize their work.

Prior to the official announcement at the build 2021 keynote, this update was expected for Windows 10X but it looks like after canceling the plans to launch a new upgraded OS, Microsoft is looking to use some of the features in the next-gen Windows 10 update.
