Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3s Pen Support: Announced by FCC

There’s no denying the fact that Samsung phones grab more attention than the phones of other brands. It happens either because of the unpredictability or may be due to events of over-providing in a budget. Ever since the foldable phone has been announced by Samsung, it has remained a headline in the tech world. And now, it has been joined by another complementary accessory- The S pen stylus.

Here’s the latest news for Samsung freaks.

The S Pen was initially presented to the public by Samsung with the original Galaxy Note in 2011. The included design offered a way for users to draw, take notes and interact more easily with the ‘great’ display than other handsets in their time. As Samsung progressed in the coming years with the Galaxy Note series, the S pen was still improving. It acquired more responsiveness to force, effective version, new notation, and much more. The S Pen is a great fit over the years for the Galaxy Note. Samsung supported its iconic style for the first time last January on the Galaxy S21 Ultra — the Galaxy S series.

What’s the latest news?

For the time being, Samsung has forsaken the Galaxy Note series, but the S Pen will be alive with us, and the next Galaxy Z Fold 3 will support it. All the prior spills and news stories have made that very clear, but there is now even more proof to substantiate this hypothesis. Samsung’s next Galaxy Z Fold3 has been verified to use the S Pen stylus, and now an FCC listing has confirmed that the gadget will be compatible with the S Pen Pro as well.

The FCC just cleared the unannounced S Pen Pro with the product number EJ-P5450. This accessory was launched along with the normal S Pen for the Galaxy S21 Ultra in January 2021, but it hasn’t ever been released, despite Samsung promising a launch later this year.

The final image validates that the Samsung Stylus unveiled together with the Galaxy S21 Ultra will collaborate with the forthcoming folding unit expressly stated and the S21 Ultra, Note20 duo, Note 10.10 Lite, Tab S7, and Tab S6 series. Air actions will be supported through Bluetooth LE with this category of devices. The second anticipated foldable, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3, isn’t included among the supported devices.

Specs-that you need to know

The S Pen Pro itself charges over USB-C and has a 5.0V rated 100mAh battery. The Z Fold3 will also probably charge the style wirelessly, similarly to how the Galaxy Tab range functions. The pliable one is probably without a specific slot for the S Pen, so that you somehow have to attach it to a case.

According to its presence at the FCC, the S Pen Pro is almost ready for prime time. The S Pen Pro will be easy to work with several Samsung models. According to the official documents, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite, the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, the Galaxy Note 20duo, the Galaxy Tab S7 series, the Galaxy Tab S6, and the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G of the FCC files.

The new S Pen Pro has inbuilt Bluetooth LE connectivity, which means it supports Air Actions. The Pro model is also comparatively larger and has an internal battery.

When’s the Z fold coming?

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will hit the big time in August in Unwrapped, though Samsung still has to validate that as well accurately. The folding technology could be purchased at the end of August or in September.

Over the last few months, there have been numerous speculations about S Pen support for the Z Fold 3, and this recent discovery almost verifies that those suspicions are true. Many people believe the Z Fold could be the best application for the S Pen yet, which is why it’s such a huge deal. When the Z Fold 3 is fully unfolded, it will have a 7.6-inch inner display. It, paired with its larger screen size compared to a typical smartphone screen, should give you plenty of room to draw, sketch, and so on.

Conclusion

The  Pen Pro is offered along with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and sold as an optional accessory. Given the S Pen Pro’s compatibility with various other Galaxy devices, it’s most likely the latter.
