The CEO of BioNTech, the biotechnology company that joined Pfizer to make one of the COVID-19 vaccines, has been fully vaccinated against the Covid. He got two shots of his firm’s developed vaccines and has since received a booster shot as well.
Facebook Posts Claim Are Based on Old Video Clip
According to the Facebook posts that state Ugur Sahin acknowledged he has not taken a vaccine are based on an old video interview when he appeared on the English-language German public broadcaster DW News.
Both include a doctored copy of the DW News YouTube video, and the same has also been posted on BitChute and Twitter.

The first Facebook post is posted with the caption, “Earlier this year vaccine inventor and investor Dr. Ugur Sahin CEO of BioNTech and inventor of the BION TECH Pfizer vaccine avoids answering with any detail the question of why he wasn’t vaccinated at that time, saying vaguely it’s against the law for him to do so. Judge yourself his reaction to the question.”

The second one includes, “Dr. Ugur Sahin, CEO of BioNTech and inventor of the BION TECH Pfizer jab refuses to take the jab for safety reasons.”
In the meantime, the versions posted on BitChute and Twitter make alike claims, like the professor “admitting” he did not take his doses of the vaccine.
Video Used Is From 22nd December 2020
Although, the video clip that has been used is from 22nd December, last year. It happened ahead of rolling out of vaccines in Germany, and hence, it was before Sahin was officially entitled to the vaccine, which he described in the video. He did not mention anywhere regarding not taking it “for safety reasons”.
The professor has since been fully vaccinated and has also got his booster shot as well and therefore any posts stating otherwise are not correct.
A BioNTech’s spokesperson said, “Ugur Sahin received his first vaccinations early in 2021 and the booster a couple of weeks ago,” adding “The text they (the social media posts) are taking into consideration was a claim that he made in Dec. 2020, it is completely outdated.”
Further, the spokesperson also claimed that he has also taken the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine.

Similarly, the professor and his wife, who was also involved in the launch of the said in an interview on 14th September, that they have taken their doses of vaccines at the end of January being “part of our campaign to immunize all our employees, to ensure that we did not have infections that would slow the pace of our work,” continuing further that they suffered “no side effects”.
Conclusion
Hence, the above details indicate that the claims made by posts are FALSE. Ugur Sahin, the CEO of BioNTech has been fully inoculated against the virus by taking the vaccine developed by his firm and Pfizer. He has also since got his booster shot.
