Chris Moyles Early Life
Christopher David Moyles was born on February 22, 1974, in Leeds, West Riding of Yorkshire, England. He is the son of postman Christopher Moyles and Hannah Moyles. Kieron, Chris’ older brother, is Kieron. Moyles attended Mount St. Mary’s Catholic High School, where he began his broadcasting career as a high school student at Wakefield’s Broadcast to Hospitals Service in West Yorkshire.
Chris obtained a position as DJ Carl Kingston’s assistant at Aire FM after leaving his job at WBHS. He was also a presenter for Radio Top Shop’s Leeds Briggate section during this time. In 1992, Moyles started working as a presenter at Radio Luxembourg after serving as the host of the Saturday night show on Aire FM.
After being sacked in 1994, he hosted “The Evening Bit” at Signal 1 in Stoke-on-Trent until he was fired. He hosted the evening show at the Pulse of West Yorkshire the following year. Chris started doing the evening show on the Chiltern Radio Network in 1995 and subsequently transitioned to hosting the late show. He joined Radio 1 in 1997 after hosting “The Late Bit,” a weekend program, at London’s Capital FM in 1996.

In 1997, Moyles started hosting “The Early Bit” on Radio 1, and “SKY” magazine named him one of the “Faces for 97” that year. He frequently co-hosted Radio 1 programs with David “Comedy Dave” Vitty. In 2004, he started hosting “The Chris Moyles Show” on Radio 1, and “The Sun” readers selected him as DJ of the Year.
With “Radio 1’s Longest Show Ever with Chris Moyles and Comedy Dave for Comic Relief,” which ran for 52 hours and raised £2,821,831, Moyles and Vitty smashed the record for Radio 1’s longest continuous show. He had already scaled Mount Kilimanjaro in 2009 to raise money for Comic Relief. In 2007, he appeared as a guest star on “Hotel Babylon.”
He visited Ireland and Belgium in 2009 when filming “Who Do You Think You Are?” on BBC One. His grandfather passed away in Belgium during World War I. On “The Million Pound Drop” in 2012, Moyles and British television host Andi Peters competed for charity and took home $25,000 in prize money.
Chris Moyles Personal Life
Chris allegedly sees Tiffany Austin, and the two have been together since 2015. Moyles was accused of homophobia in May 2006 when he declared, “I don’t want that one, it’s homos*exual,” while rejecting a particular ringtone live on air. In response to concerns from listeners.

The BBC made the following statement regarding Moyles’ remarks: “Anyone who watches or listens to the “Chris Moyles Show” is familiar with his irreverent manner. We regret that his remarks were misinterpreted on this occasion, and we are now communicating with Chris and his staff about them.”
To avoid paying up to £1 million in taxes, Moyles “claimed to be a second-hand auto salesman,” according to a 2014 report. Chris responded to the claims on Twitter by claiming he had been informed that the plan was legitimate. Added, “Despite not being an expert in taxes, I followed recommendations. This was a mistake, and I wholeheartedly agree with the decision.”

The albums “The Parody Album” (2009) and “The Difficult Second Album” (2012) by Moyles were also released, and they respectively peaked at #13 and #17 on the UK Albums Chart. He became a member of the reality TV cast in 2022, “I’m a Star… Take Me Away From Here!” for the 22nd time.
