What Role Does Alan Autry Play on Tulsa King?

Tulsa King might be seen as Sylvester Stallone’s swan song. The 76-year-old American actor has delighted viewers in recent works like Creed and The Expendables, and he has given legendary performances in film classics like Rocky and Rambo. Here he is, taking on his first major TV role.

The Taylor Sheridan–Terence Winter criminal drama will debut on Paramount+ in November 2022. When Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Sly) is released from jail, he travels to Oklahoma to set up a revolutionary new criminal organization.

Is Alan Autry in Tulsa King?

Sure enough, Alan Autry makes a brief appearance in episode 8 of Tulsa King. In the season finale, he plays Brian Gillen, Margaret’s ex-husband whom Dwight runs into at the Fennario Ranch.

His supporters will be overjoyed to see Alan back on screens since he portrays a darn difficult role. The 70-year-old American actor, politician, and an ex-NFL player is most remembered for his performance as Captain Bubba Skinner on In the Heat of the Night.

Newer programs he’s appeared in include Hart of Dixie (where he portrayed Mayor Gainey) and Style & Substance (where he played Marion “Butch” McMann) (Earl). Given how infrequently he appears on screen (his last appearance prior to Tulsa King was in 2017), it is, needless to say, a pleasant surprise to have him return in this capacity.
