ABC doesn’t want Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes to return so they may continue their love vacation in Miami. YET! ABC News President Kim Godwin temporarily removed the couple and “GMA3” co-hosts from the air on December 5.
The network opened an internal investigation into Holmes and Robach’s controversial connection after temporarily banning them from appearing on air.
Robach and Holmes are no longer employed by ABC or “GMA”
Holmes’ prior relationships with ABC employees came to light after their affair became public in late November.
According to a source, the inquiry into their relationship (and any other possible inter-office interactions) is still ongoing, and there is no imminent end.
Robach and Holmes will not report working this week because it is still ongoing. When that day comes, they will undoubtedly have a lot of explaining to do with their viewers.

The internal review of ABC is still ongoing and incomplete
According to a source, “They are both off the air while an internal review is underway and in terms of timeline, a decision is not imminent.”
There hasn’t been “no decision within ABC’s leadership,” so those hoping for an announcement shouldn’t hold their breath.
“There isn’t a timeline. This is an internal review, and whenever that concludes is when the announcement will be made for the GMA3 audience,” the first insider added.
In recent weeks and days, Holmes and Robach have been spotted around the eastern U.S. coast. They were also seen making out in Miami. Both TV stars are going through divorce proceedings with their estranged partners, and on January 4, Holmes’ wife, Marilee Fiebig, finally spoke out.
T.J. Holmes’ Divorced Wife Speaks Out
Fiebig’s bold decision comes precisely ONE WEEK after Holmes formally filed for divorce from his wife of 12 years in New York.
“During the holiday season and in light of the challenging times, Marilee’s sole focus has remained on the overall best interest of her 9-year-old daughter [Sabine],” said her divorce attorney Stephanie Lehman in a statement to Daily Mail on Wednesday.
Lehman stressed that Fiebig, her client, is focused on their daughter and trying to reach an amicable divorce settlement. Working “privately, quickly, and as pleasantly as possible” to “bring the divorce along” are Lehman, Fiebig, Holmes, and his legal counsel.
“Notwithstanding, we continue to be disappointed by T.J.’s lack of discretion, respect and sensitivity toward Marilee and the party’s daughter,” Fiebig’s divorce attorney added.
Since the incident initially made headlines in November 2022, Holmes’ estranged wife has “been touched by the outpouring of sympathy” and “looks forward to a new beginning in this new year.”

Fiebig even recently supported Andrew Shue, Robach’s former spouse, on Instagram.
According to a source who spoke with Page Six, Fiebig was “blindsided” by her husband’s misdeeds; nevertheless, soon after the revelation of his romance with Robach, more information about other affairs he had with ‘GMA’ staff members emerged.
Holmes and Robach haven’t expressed any regret for what they did.
