Will Ginny and Georgia have a Season 3? When Will it Release?

Between the first two seasons of Ginny and Georgia, almost two years went by, which is very dramatic. Still, it was worth the wait because season two was even better and more exciting than the first. So what does that mean for season three of Ginny and Georgia?

Netflix has been a little too quick to end shows lately, but given how Georgia’s wedding ended, we can’t see the show ending there. At this point, it would be wrong to end Ginny and Georgia.

We know you agree, so call your lawyer and get your alibi ready, because we’re going to tell you everything you need to know about Ginny and Georgia’s third season on Netflix.

Ginny and Georgia Season 3 Expected Release Date

We’re not going to lie, it was hard to wait 23 months between seasons one and two. If Netflix decides to bring Ginny and Georgia back for a third season, we hope the time between episodes will be shorter this time.

These Seasons Are a Must-Watch for Any Fan:

We’re pretty sure about the show’s future, though, and if there aren’t any more delays due to pandemics, we think new episodes could come out in early 2024. And to be honest, I can’t wait for them to get here. We will update this post as soon as we get any update on Ginny and Georgia Season 3.

Who Will Be in Ginny and Georgia Season 3?

Ginny and Georgia have a pretty big cast, so if nothing changes behind the scenes, the following actors should be back in Wellsbury for season three:

  • Brianne Howey as Georgia Miller
  • Antonia Gentry as Ginny Miller
  •  Diesel La Torraca as Austin Miller
  • Jennifer Robertson as Ellen Baker
  • Felix Mallard as Marcus Baker
  • Sara Waisglass as Maxine “Max” Baker
  • Scott Porter as Mayor Paul Randolph
  • Raymond Ablack as Joe
  • Mason Temple as Hunter Chen
  • Katie Douglas as Abby
  • Chelsea Clark as Norah
  • Jonathan Potts as Mr. Gitten
  • Sabrina Grdevich as Cynthia Fuller
  • Colton Gobbo as Jordan
  • Connor Laidman as Zach
  • Nathan Mitchell as Zion Miller
  • Rebecca Ablack as Padma
  • Tyssen Smith as Brodie
  • Daniel Beirne as Nick
  • Aaron Ashmore as Gil Timmins

And don’t forget the flashback cast, which is led by Nikki Roumel and Kyle Bary as Georgia Miller and Zion Miller when they were teenagers.

What Will Happen in Ginny and Georgia Season 3?

At the end of Ginny and Georgia’s second season, a lot went on. Like, a lot, so here’s a list of the most important questions we want to see answered in season three:

Will Marcus and Ginny get back together, or will they pretend for a whole season that they’re just friends? Will Joe and Georgia ever do something about how they feel? Or will Joe just keep moping like a big, old softie?

Will Zion and Simone move in together? Or will Zion, like the rest of Wellsbury, keep longing for Georgia? Will Hunter stop being so boring ever get over Ginny? Will Abby make smarter decisions about boys? Self-respect is just as attractive as a six-pack.

Will Nora’s life ever have a real plot? Or does “N” in “MANG” not make a sound? Will Marcus tell Georgia’s big secret? Teenagers who are drunk, sad, and full of hormones aren’t exactly the most reliable…

After Georgia is arrested, will Paul stay with her? As she is taken to jail, he says he will, but that might depend on how long his new wife is in jail.

Who told on Georgia? Did Nick do it? It looks like that’s the case. Will Austin get hurt like Ginny did? He was wrong about Mommie Dearest. She isn’t quite the sweet housewife he thought she was. Will Georgia be in jail for a long time? She is a fighter, but life has taken a big toll on her, and this could be the last straw…

Sarah Lampert who made Ginny & Georgia and put out season two on Netflix was contacted by Deadline a day after season two came out.

Lampert says that there have been no talks with Netflix about Season 3. “We have to wait to see how it does and if we’re going to see Season 3 but I certainly hope we do because it’s going to be a wild ride.”

But what could a third season of this show be like? Lampert says that there are “a lot of really great possibilities” for who will care for Ginny and Austin in the future.

“If Georgia is being charged with this crime, we have Zion, he’s Ginny’s dad, we have Gill in the picture now. I think previous to this, he had no chance at custody because he was a convicted felon but who knows now, and we’ve got Paul, who’s the stepdad.”

“We have so many golden possibilities for storytelling based on how rich these characters are,” adds Lampert. “And based on how many surprises we want to throw into Season 3 that I’m being coy about but we do have it planned out.”

Ginny and Marcus, what about them? Is this really the end of that relationship? Or, can we keep sending “Gincus” or “Marcy” or whatever name you prefer?

“In terms of Season 3, all bets are off,” Lampert told Deadline. “Maybe there are new characters, who knows. We don’t have a Season 3 yet… We have it all planned out, we have some really structured ideas of what we want it to look like. But then in the writer’s room, everything always changes, you have so many more brains coming to the table, and you have a better idea.”
