Wednesday Season 2 Announcement

Wednesday Season 2 is Coming to Netflix

Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega, has been through a lot. She has been followed by a bloodthirsty monster. Red paint messed up her Rave’N dress. (The normies couldn’t even spring for real blood?) And she’s had to face the scariest danger of all: other teens.

But it looks like things are getting better for the most popular goth at Nevermore Academy. Netflix has confirmed that there will be a second season of Wednesday.

“We can’t wait to dive headfirst into another season and explore the kooky, spooky world of Nevermore,” Wednesday Season 1 co-showrunners Miles Millar and Alfred Gough told Tudum. “We just need to make sure Wednesday hasn’t emptied the pool first.”

The news that the show will be back for a second season comes with a video that promises more “torture” for Wednesday. The mystery writer and amateur detective wouldn’t have it any other way, of course.

You Won’t Be Able to Stop Watching These Addictive Seasons:

“[Wednesday] sticks to her guns, and she’s not out to please anybody,” Ortega said. “Which, as someone who used to be an immense people pleaser, I really respect.”

It’s clear that Ortega isn’t the only one who likes Wednesday’s teen version of Wednesday Addams. The show broke the record for most hours watched in one week on Netflix twice.

In its first week, it was watched for 341.23 million hours, and in its second week, it was watched for 411.29 million hours. Even though Wednesday doesn’t like social media or anything social, #WednesdayAddams is a big deal on TikTok, with over 22 billion views, and millions of TikTok users trying to copy her “just-bitten” makeup look.

Even Lady Gaga couldn’t resist Wednesday, and she posted her own version of the popular “Blood Mary” dance. But that’s not the only thing the show has done for music: the Wednesday soundtrack is the most popular on iTunes. That’s Wednesday: he always does more than he needs to.

“It’s been incredible to create a show that’s connected with people across the world,” Millar and Gough add. “We’re thrilled to continue Wednesday’s torturous journey into Season 2.”

Fans have already seen their favorite new young detective take down one big bad guy, but in Season 2, she’s going to face a lot of other bad guys.

As the last few minutes of Season 1 show, the Hyde is still out there, whether or not they are in police custody. Also, there seems to be a stalker going around Nevermore: In the last episode of Season 1, Wednesday gets scary texts and photos from a number she doesn’t know.

“[The stalker proves] that threats remain out there… to both Wednesday and the school,” Millar says. “Not all not loose ends have been tied up neatly as she thinks they have.”

Wednesday may not be one to smile often. But the thought of a new scary case to solve might make even her smile a little. More information, like who will be in Season 2 and what will happen, is still to come. So, keep coming back to Lee Daily for the latest and greatest news.
