As one half of the passionate backing pair “Diamond and Silk,” Diamond Lynnette Hardaway’s passing on Monday night was deeply felt by former president Donald Trump.
“Really bad news for Republicans and frankly, all Americans,” wrote Mr. Trump on his social media site Truth Social. “Our beautiful Diamond, of Diamond and Silk, has just passed away at her home in the State she loves so much, North Carolina.”
Silk Herneitha Rochelle Hardaway was “with her all the way, and at her passing,” he remarked of the “Magnificent Diamond” he had just described. The former president lamented the death of the conservative commentator, writing, “There was no better team anywhere or at any time!”
“Diamond’s death was totally unexpected, probably because her big and precious heart just plain gave out. Rest in peace our Magnificent Diamond, you will be greatly missed!”
