On Saturday, the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers will compete in the first game of the NFL Wild Card Round. The two teams from the same division will play in San Francisco to see who will go to the next round.
But right now, the weather looks like it will be a problem for both teams. Mike Florio says that tonight, around the fourth quarter of the game, a heavy thunderstorm is expected based on today’s weather forecasts.
“Thunderstorms become a potential factor at 4:00 p.m. local time. With the (Seahawks-49ers) game starting at 1:30 p.m. PT, that puts a potential stoppage for lightning on the table in the fourth quarter of the game.”

Forecasts from the last few days showed that it was likely to rain a little bit during the 49ers vs. Seahawks game. But these new storms are a much bigger danger to the game. Teams might have to stop playing for safety’s sake.
The 49ers and the Seahawks got to the Wild Card Round in very different ways. Even though Jimmy Garoppolo and other key players were hurt, the 49ers won their last 10 games after a slow start. They are one of the teams that are most likely to win the NFC and go to the Super Bowl.
