A flight attendant must join the “dream crew” of streaming giant Netflix. Up to $385,000, a year could be offered by the corporation. It has a Los Gatos office in San Jose, California, seeking to fill a principal flight attendant position for one of its super-midsize private aircraft.

Netflix stated in a job posting on its website that it is seeking applicants with “independent judgment, discretion, and outstanding customer service skills.” According to the company, they must be able to “operate with little direction and a lot of self-motivation.”

“The broad market range for this role is typical $60,000 – $385,000. This market range is based on total compensation (vs. only base salary), which aligns with our compensation philosophy,” the job listing read.

Further, Netflix claimed that it bases pay decisions on “compensation factors” such as an employee’s background, experience, and talents. According to the job description, “These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.”

“The Netflix Aviation department provides exceptional, safe, confidential air transportation. Our goal is to provide the most outstanding aviation experience available by using the best people and equipment and providing the highest level of customer service possible. The aviation team helps Netflix reach the world more efficiently and effectively so the company can continue to create joy around the world,” the listing added. 

Additionally, the advertisement claimed that the team works to improve Netflix’s global reach so that it can keep spreading joy. Before takeoff, the flight attendant will assess the emergency equipment in the cockpit, cabin, and gallery. When loading and stocking airplanes, they will also need to be able to lift objects weighing up to 13.6 kg.

Notably, the position is headquartered in San Jose, California, and calls for travel inside and outside the country.

Candidates must “demonstrate a professional representation of Netflix Aviation at all times while performing the position’s duties,” says the job description. Additionally, candidates should be able “to operate with little direction and a lot of self-motivation” and embrace Netflix’s ethos.

Additionally, the candidates must be adaptable to working different hours, including domestic and foreign travel, and possess Flight Safety FAA-certified training. Additionally, there will be a need for additional travel time and weekend and holiday workdays.

“Must be able to assist with purchasing aircraft stock before trips, ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs when loading and stocking the aircraft, capable of long periods of standing, able to help with baggage loading as necessary,” the company said.

Despite not providing precise compensation for the post, Netflix noted that the broad market range for jobs similar to this one is between $60,000 and $385,000. The final payment amount will be based on several variables, including talents and experience.

The “Stranger Things” studio has offices in 30 places globally, including Madrid, Seoul, Tokyo, Mexico City, and London.
