Investigators have determined that the guy discovered dead inside a white cargo van following a confrontation with police in Torrance, California, is the same individual suspected of carrying out a mass shooting in Monterey Park on Saturday night, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna.

Authorities felt the driver of the van may have shot himself after hearing a noise and ordering the occupant to exit the vehicle, according to law enforcement sources who spoke to CNN.
