Elle King has just dropped her edgy new single “Tulsa” which she describes as a song about uniting and not taking sh*t from a real p.o.s. As a co-host and performer at New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, Elle King had a great start to 2023.
The latest single “Tulsa” from the highly anticipated upcoming album Come Get Your Wife, features the chart-topping singer/songwriter who continues to dominate the new year. The song was written by Elle King, Ella Langley, Bobby Hamrick, and Matt McKinney and it features Ashley McBryde on background vocals and guitar shredding by John Osborne.
What’s the Singer Said About Tulsa Song?
Tulsa is a song about wronging someone, the singer clarified in an Instagram post. To blame the victim is not the point rather the offender must be held accountable. It’s not her fault if he cheats on you because there are a million other women he could do it with.
Worse, he’ll probably end up cheating on her as well. It’s a call to arms to stand together and refuse to take any more crap from this real P.O.S. The song is so rowdy and exciting, King said and it was written in less than an hour. We’ve begun performing it live and it’s the third song in our setlist. We’re having a great time, and so is the audience!
