Johnson, who is 50 years old, was seen taking a seat next to the 15-time Grammy winner, who is 34 years old, as the camera zoomed away. At this year’s 64th annual presentation, Adele is up for seven categories, including album of the year, a category in which Beyoncé is also up for a nomination.
The last time both of them competed in the category together was in 2017, when Adele won the award for her album 25, but she is more well known for the dedication she gave to Beyoncé. In her acceptance speech, she remarked, “I’m really humbled and I’m very grateful and nice, but the artist of my life is Beyoncé and this album to me, the Lemonade album, was just so monumental.”

Beyoncé, for her part, has been nominated for nine awards, and in addition to being considered for album of the year, she is also up for some of the most coveted accolades of the evening, including a record of the year and song of the year.
