Shepard is best known for portraying the rap legend in a song video, on tour, and at the MTV Movie Awards as his doppelganger.
Shepard’s brother Kyle reportedly told TMZ that his brother passed away in January after being struck by a pickup truck as he attempted to cross a street.
He was taken to the hospital in a hurry but was later declared dead. Shepard frequently served as Eminem’s stunt and picture double in the early 2000s.
He appeared at the MTV Movie Awards as the rapper’s superhero persona Rap Boy, which required him to hang in the air.

Shepard is also the rapper’s double in D12’s Purple Hills song video, which will be familiar to many. Shepard pursued an entirely different career after serving as a stunt double, and his brother Kyle praised his late sibling’s brains.
Shepard later obtained employment with Elon Musk’s SpaceX as a test automation engineer after working as a mechanical engineer for rides at Disney. Shepard is survived by two kids, ages 7 and 11 respectively.
