More dates have been added to Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band’s 2023 tour. August, September, November, and December are the dates for the North American shows. The group’s full schedule, which includes previously announced U.S. and European performances, is included below.
The beginning of Springsteen’s tour has been a little bumpy. Springsteen and his manager Jon Landau addressed the debate about the exorbitant cost of concert tickets before it even started. “When setting the ticket prices for this tour, we carefully considered what our competitors had been doing.
We picked pricing that is comparable to others and lower than some,” Landau said. “Despite the criticism that just a small percentage of tickets cost $1,000 or more, the actual average ticket cost has remained in the mid-$200 range.
I think paying that much to see someone who is widely recognized as one of the very best artists of his age is reasonable in the current situation. “What I do is extremely straightforward. I advise my guys to go outside and observe what other people are doing. In a 2022 interview with Rolling Stone, Springsteen added, “Let’s charge a little less.
I reminded them that we are 73 years old this time. The men are present. I want to follow my classmates in doing what they are doing. So, that is what took place. They acted in that manner. I am aware that some fans didn’t like it, but if there are any complaints on the way out, you can get a refund.
Backstreets, a venerable Springsteen fanzine, also ended publication as a protest against costs “many of [its] readers cannot pay.” On February 1st, Tampa, Florida saw the start of the tour by Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band.
Soon later, due to COVID-19, band members Steven Van Zandt and Soozie Tyrell were unable to perform in Dallas. Springsteen’s wife Patti Scialfa, an E Street Band vocalist and guitarist, also skipped the Dallas show for an undisclosed reason.
In happier news, Variety reports that Bruce Springsteen has recorded a brand-new song for Rebecca Miller’s next film, She Came to Me. The song, “Addicted to Romance,” was written and performed by Bruce Springsteen, and it was produced by Ron Aniello and Bryce Dessner of the National.
