Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart have one of the sweetest celebrity friendships we are aware of, and Stewart might have just elevated their relationship even more. The fashion and lifestyle icon posted a shot to Instagram on Friday in which she appears to be getting inked.
Given the rarity of 81-year-olds getting new tattoos, that is noteworthy in and of itself, but what is truly stunning is the tattoo itself: a picture of her BFF Snoop, complete with shades, goatee, and the words “My Dogg,” scrawled in cursive beneath it.

“My Dogg!” Stewart captioned the pic. “Forever linked in ink to my favorite @snoopdogg.”
Scott Campbell said on his own Instagram,
“I got to tattoo a legend onto a legend. Thanks, @marthastewart48 and @snoopdogg. I can retire now.”
Fans have flooded Stewart’s post with comments doubting the legitimacy of the ink and pointing out how it appears to have been altered. However, it is generally agreed that this tattoo is superior, real, or fake. One commenter said,
“I don’t even care if this is fake, I am LIVING for it!” one person commented, while another wrote, “Martha Stewart is a *real* American Gangster. Real recognize real this is a great tattoo lol.”
Stewart, Snoop Dogg, and Campbell have all been contacted by The Daily Beast for comment; if they get back to us, we’ll update this piece.
Meanwhile, there are also rumors that Stewart’s tattoo would appear in a future Super Bowl ad. If so, get ready to see a lot of Martha and Snoop this Sunday because they already appear in an advertisement for Skechers that will air during the game and that the footwear brand debuted online earlier this week. There is no indication that the tattoo is new.
