Deadline has learned that both Big Shot and The Mighty Ducks: Changers, two of Disney+’s comedic sports dramas starring John Stamos, have been canceled after two seasons. Big Shot was a sitcom about Marvyn Korn created by David E. Kelley, Dean Lorey, and Brad Garrett (Stamos).
After being fired as the head coach of an NCAA basketball team, Coach Korn is given a second chance at coaching at Westbrook, a prestigious all-girls private high school. However, he quickly discovers that the teenage players he is in charge of require empathy and vulnerability, two concepts that are completely foreign to the tough Coach Korn.
This decision comes four months after Season 2 premiered. Starring alongside Jessalyn Gilsig and Sophia Mitri Schloss in Big Shot was also Nell Verlaque, Tiana Le, Tisha Custodio, Cricket Wampler, Echeagaray, and Yvette Nicole Brown. Executive production was done by Kelley, Lorey, Garrett, and Bill D’Elia.

Season 2 finds the team with heart and their coach Alex Morrow (Graham) on the road at a rigorous summer hockey institute in California headed by charming yet hardcore former NHL player, Colin Cole (Josh Duhamel). It’s a great place for kids to hone their hockey skills without having to worry about missing class.
Can you win summer? is the dilemma facing our Ducks as they strive to make it through this incredibly cutthroat season. Graham and Duhamel weren’t the only stars of the show; others were Maxwell Simkins, Swayam Bhatia, Luke Islam, Taegen Burns, and De’Jon Watts.
It was created by Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa, who also ran the show and produced it. Steve Brill, Lauren Graham, George Heller, Brad Petrigala, Jordan Kerner, and Jon Avnet also served as executive producers.
