X-Men 97 Season 2

X-Men 97 Season 2 Release Date: Was it a Well Known TV Show in 1990s?

Marvel’s “X-Men ’97,” an Original Series on Disney+, had been renewed for a second season before the Season 1 release last July during the San Diego Comic-Con Marvel Studios’ Animation Panel.

Production On X-Men 97 Season 2 Has Already Begun!

Cal Dodd, who provides the voice of Wolverine in the Disney+ animated series X-Men ’97, has stated that he is already working on the second season of Marvel Studios’ anticipated replacement for the cherished X-Men: The Animated Series.

Dodd posted on Twitter, which has since been deleted, that he has started writing lines for X-Men ’97 Season 2. “Yesterday Studio 2nd season AMAZING session!” wrote Dodd.

The voice actor adds in the supplemental video, “Wolverine’s 1997 X-Men voice actor was Cal Dodd (wiki). I say that Season 2’s start is simply the beginning. Put on your seatbelts, baby. Later.” During Disney+ Day in November 2021, Marvel Studios first revealed X-Men ’97.

The X-Men: The Animated Series, which broadcast on the Fox Kids Network for five seasons from 1992 to 1997, is directly followed by the Disney+ series.

Dodd reprises his role as Wolverine in X-Men ’97 along with many other original voice actors from The Animated Series. Currently scheduled to debut later this year is the first season of the show.

The X-Men Was a Well-Known TV Show in The 1990s

A first look at X-Men’97 and the animated series Season 2 renewal were both made public by Marvel Studios at San Diego Comic-Con 2022. Additionally, X-Men’97 would resolve several unresolved mysteries from the first series, according to chief writer Beau DeMayo, who hinted at this during the event.

Later that year, at Steel City Con in Pennsylvania, X-Men ’97 consultant Eric Lewald disclosed further that Disney and Marvel had paid a “substantial sum” to get the rights to utilize the enduring opening theme tune from X-Men: The Animated Series for their impending revival. Dodd will be voicing James “Logan” Howlett/Wolverine in X-Men ’97 for the first time since the original series ended 26 years ago.

In addition to appearing in Spider-Man: The Animated Series as part of a 1995 crossover, Dodd played Wolverine in all five seasons of X-Men: The Animated Series from 1992 to 1997.

Even yet, he continued to lend his voice to the enduring character in Marvel video games up until the year 2000, lending his most recent portrayal of the Canadian mutant in Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes. Disney+ will debut the first season of X-Men ’97 from Marvel Studios in 2023.

X-Men 97 Season 2 Release Date

Many of the adored characters from “X-Men: The Animated Series,” which debuted nearly 30 years ago, will be appearing in Marvel Studios’ upcoming show “X-Men ’97,” which will premiere on Disney+ in the fall of 2023 and has already been renewed for a second season.

The tale of the initial “Animated Series,” which aired from 1992 to 1997 on Fox Kids Network, will be continued in “X-Men ’97.” Before Fox produced the team’s first live-action film in 2000, “X-Men: The Animated Series” contributed to the rise in popularity of mutant superheroes.

Rogue, Beast, Gambit, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Storm, Jubilee, and Cyclops will all appear in the new series. The X-Men will be led by Magneto, who now has long hair and a purple outfit.

The animation, which was unveiled at Comic-Con on Friday, is faithful to the first animated series while yet seeming more contemporary, fresh, and slick.

In addition to the X-Men, Cable, Bishop, Forge, Morph, and Nightcrawler will appear with them. The (non-“Stranger Things”) Hellfire Club, which includes Emma Frost and Sebastian Shaw, as well as Mr. Sinister and Bolivar Trask, will engage in combat with them.

The “X-Men ’97” team demonstrated an animatic in which the X-Men battle Trask and numerous Sentinels at Comic-Con to inform attendees that episodes were starting to ship.

After Wolverine slashes a Sentinel in the face and Beast rips out the circuitry to take control of another, the X-Men band together to defeat the robots.

Disney+ is rearranging the episode order in the manner in which it is intended to be watched, which is a treat for fans of the original animated series. For instance, Disney+ will make up for the initial run’s out-of-order order of Jean Grey’s Dark Phoenix Saga. The head writer of “X-Men ’97” will be Beau DeMayo, who also penned the Netflix animated “The Witcher” spinoff “Nightmare of the Wolf.”

After Disney acquired Fox, the X-Men have not yet made their formal live-action debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but this year has seen two significant nods to “X-Men: The Animated Series.” Patrick Stewart plays Prof. Charles Xavier  from the live-action “X-Men” series once more in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”

Nevertheless, Stewart played a character from the “Animated Series,” complete with his yellow hover chair and green costume, as opposed to portraying his Prof. X from the Fox film franchise.

Iman Vellani plays the title heroine in the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel, who discovers shockingly that her abilities come from a genetic “mutation” in her Genetics. The “X-Men: The Animated Series” theme song briefly played in the “Doctor Strange” and “Ms. Marvel” segments.

Spider-Man: Freshmen Year,” “Marvel Zombies,” and “What If…?” Season 2 were among the other upcoming animated Marvel shows on Disney+ that was initially revealed in November 2021.
