Grande posted a video of herself in the studio creating a remix of the 2016 song on social media on February 21, 2023. New lyrics from the verse that Grande had composed for the remix were also included in the post.

The Weeknd and Ariana Grande’s remix of the former’s 2016 hit song “Die For You” was released on Friday, and it features them both back and better than ever (Feb. 24).
The song “Die For You” has recently seen a rise in popularity, spending the past seven weeks (and counting) in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 6.
The Weeknd’s 2016 album Starboy, which peaked at number one on the Billboard 200, contains the original version of “Die For You.” But now, with the support of the “Thank U, Next” superstar, he is leveraging the momentum of the seven-year-old song.
This week, Grande uploaded a TikTok video of herself practicing her song’s verse. “Wrote and recorded a verse for my friend after a 14-hour day on set.
This certain exception had to be made….” she captioned the clip, where she’s seen laying down harmonies and cutting vocal takes. The “Creepin'” artist shared her video along with an emoji of tears on his Instagram page.

But their supporters may put off crying for now because the “Die For You” remix has at last been released! The pop dynamic pair have now worked together on four occasions.
The Weeknd enlisted Grande for the No. 1 remix of After Hours’ “Save Your Tears” on the Hot 100 in 2021. He also appears on “Love Me Harder” from Ariana Grande’s 2014 sophomore album My Everything and “Off the Table” off her most recent album, 2020’s Positions.
