The Last Wish will only be available to watch on Peacock. Deadline says that the movie will be available to stream on March 10. The latest film from DreamWorks Animation to join the platform is Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. It follows the Shrek movies and some of DreamWorks’ best-known movies, like Trolls World Tour and The Croods.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish comes out in 2022 and is set after the movie Shrek Forever After, which came out in 2010. The movie shows Puss in Boots’s journey as he learns that he loves danger and doesn’t care about safety, which will eventually catch up with him.
Salma Hayek, Florence Pugh, Harvey Guillen, Olivia Colman, John Mulaney, Samson Kayo, and Wagner Moura are also in the cast, which is led by Antonio Banderas. The movie came out on Dec. 21, just before Christmas.
It was the only family movie to come out in the theatres during the winter months. At the box office, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish made more than $444 million. The movie was also at the top of the charts on iTunes and Premium Video On Demand for several weeks in January.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish on Peacock was Nominated for Best Animated Feature
Aside from doing well at the box office, the movie was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. It will compete against Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, The Sea Beast, and Turning Red. The results will be known on March 12, which is the night of the Academy Awards.
At the beginning of the movie, Antonio Banderas as Puss in Boots tells the story of a shooting star that fell from the sky and landed somewhere unknown. Then he said that the mythical shooting star could grant someone’s one wish if they were good enough. The brave cat just lost his eighth life, so he’s on his last one. He wants to find the shooting star so he can get his other lives back.
Kitty Softpaws, the dog of his ex-partner Salma Hayek, and Perrito, the dog of Harvey Guillén, go with him on his journey. As the three set out to find the star, they get into an adventure when other people looking for stars get in their way.
The official plot summary says,
“When Puss in Boots discovers that his passion for adventure has taken its toll, and he has burned through eight of his nine lives, he launches an epic journey to restore them by finding the mythical Last Wish.”
