In her new documentary, Brooke Shields: Beautiful Baby, Shields speaks openly about her life and upbringing, beginning with being cast as a child prostitute at age 12 in 1978’s Pretty Baby and continuing up to the present. According to People, Shields will speak about a s*xual assault that a movie producer committed against her while she was in her 20s in a segment of the documentary.

Lana Wilson, who also directed Taylor Swift’s Miss Americana, is the director of Beautiful Baby. Shields told People, It’s taken me a long time to comprehend that. “I’m angrier today than I could have been then. You have every right to be terrified. Those are spooky circumstances.”

They can be frightening without being violent. Shields talks about having dinner with a Hollywood executive who she thought would land her a job in a movie. She claims that after dinner, he encouraged her to order a cab from his hotel room, where he then attacked her. She admits in the video, “I didn’t fight. “I simply froze.”

“By then everything was old hat,” she added,

“so it was really easy to detach. “So the decision was one of fight or flight. As the fighting was out of the question, you merely left your body. You are not present. That didn’t take place. Wilson described her subject as “someone who gradually earned agency over her own life” in an interview with People.

“Brooke was brave, open, and game for anything. She simply expressed the worry that this wouldn’t be profound enough during that initial meeting. On April 3, the documentary will be available on Hulu. Everyone deals with their own trauma on a different timetable, according to Shields. “I want to fight for women’s right to express their truth,” said the advocate.
