Atlas Fallen Trailer
It was at Gamescom 2022 that the first (and only) trailer for Atlus Fallen was shown. In establishing the game’s setting and backstory, the trailer relied heavily on cinematic techniques. Finally, we got a few gameplay snippets at the very end, including a taste of both combat and exploration.
Atlas Fallen Gameplay
Not much is known about the gameplay of Atlas Fallen at this time. We can gather a general impression of the game from the advertising, descriptions, and brief clip at the end of the trailer.
First off, the developer was also responsible for The Surge and Lords of the Fallen, so you can expect a similar style of combat. The game’s emphasis on massive weapons and blows makes it sound a lot like Monster Hunter. In this game, you must use weapons that can change form to hunt down enormous monsters.
Because the player character can fashion weapons out of the sand, a wide variety of powerful magical weapons are available to them. Though the game isn’t truly open-world, players have access to sizable areas to explore, including the desert where they can use the sand to make quick progress.
However, you need not go through all this conflict and discovery on your own. Playing Atlas Fallen can be done either solo or with a friend, as it is fully cooperative.
