The second movie will probably pick up 25 years after the first one when Sally’s granddaughter is 16. The Owens women are cursed again by a long-forgotten Owens family coven. This forces them to travel across the country to find the source of the curse. If the sequel is made, it will likely come out between 1998 and 2028, 30 years after the first movie.
The first movie was based on The Book of Magic, one of Alice Hoffman’s books in her Magic series. Hoffman’s The Rules of Magic, which tells the story of the Owens family and their love curse, is said to have inspired the second book.
Who Will Be Returning to the Practical Magic 2 Cast?
Even though Practical Magic 2 hasn’t been confirmed and isn’t likely to happen soon, it’s important to note that the original cast would probably be on board. All the adults in Practical Magic are still working in Hollywood, and most of the daughters are.
Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are vast stars and names everyone knows. But at the same time, they are both used to the slower pace of Hollywood, which means they could work on the project if they wanted to. And when they talk about their time on set in old interviews, they only have love and good memories.
