Following reports that the two music artists, both 30 years old, went out to dine together in New York City, romance rumors have started to circulate. When user @klarissa.mpeg uploaded a text chat with a buddy who claimed to be the pair’s hostess at an undisclosed restaurant in the city, word of their adventure quickly spread on TikTok.
She provided a snapshot of their text exchange, in which the friend wrote:
“Tell me how Selena Gomez and Zayn just walked into [restaurant] hand in hand making love and I seated them.” She then went on to explain that she and her buddy both work at celeb-favorite hot spots.
Requests for a response from PEOPLE were not immediately answered by Gomez and Malik’s representatives.
The dinner was scheduled weeks after Twitter user accounts of Gomez fans noted that Malik had lately following Gomez again on Instagram. (She is also one of the vocalists of “Pillowtalk’s” 18 accounts that he follows.)

Fans have also been sharing a red-carpet exchange between Selena Gomez and a member of One Direction when Gomez is asked which member of the band she would most like to kiss. The “Lose You to Love Me” singer responds, “Oh no,” before immediately adding, “Zayn,” while giggling.

Malik, on the other hand, hasn’t been seen with anybody since calling it quits with model Gigi Hadid in October 2021. The pair has a 2-year-old daughter named Khai who they initially became related in 2015.
