Tanner Cook Sh**ting
Even after one of his targets allegedly shot him close to death, a well-known US YouTuber who takes joy in making films in which he acts strangely to frighten people plans to continue making them. On Sunday at about noon, Tanner Cook, who frequently uploads films to the Classified Goons YouTube channel for its roughly 40,000 subscribers, is said to have played a practical joke on a man at a mall in the Dulles, Virginia, Washington suburb.
According to investigators and an interview Cook made with the nearby TV station WUSA, he was being recorded by a friend when events took a nearly fatal turn. Investigators said that the man, identified as 31-year-old Alan Colie, drew a revolver and shot Cook in the stomach. Cook, 21, was in critical condition when first responders took him to the hospital, but he overcame the wound and needed surgery.
Cook told WUSA from his hospital bed,
“I was playing a… simple… joke, and this man didn’t take it very well.”
Cook claimed the sh**ter “didn’t say anything” before opening fire on him, which according to authorities also sparked panic among mall patrons. Cook was named as Colie’s accused victim in a criminal complaint submitted against him following the sh**ting, according to a report in the neighborhood Loudoun Times-Mirror.
The complaint stated merely that the interaction between Colie and Cook was the cause of the attack and made no mention of a specific motivation. Colie was allegedly sitting down near a gun in the food court of the shopping mall when police detained him. He was then charged with aggravated malicious wounding, sh**ting while committing a crime, and firing a gun into an occupied structure.

On Cook’s page, you can watch videos of him acting like he’s throwing up on Uber drivers, making a fast food worker uneasy by walking behind the counter and harassing shoppers. People in the videos occasionally experience dramatic reactions that are induced. A man playing a joke sprints at the camera in one video, and the store manager summons the cops in another.
The sh**ting on Sunday undoubtedly represents the most violent reaction against Cook to date. He told WUSA that the detectives had received the video his friend had recorded. Cook does not seem to have been aware that Colie had at least one prior accusation of violent behavior.
The Loudoun Times-Mirror looked at a criminal complaint in which Colie’s father claimed that his son had punched him twice in the head in 2012. In that instance, Colie allegedly admitted to becoming upset for a short period of time and being unaware of what transpired next. Police arrested him for violence and assault, however, the case was dropped in 2014.
After Cook was shot, a court ordered Colie to remain in custody without a bond. A preliminary court hearing was tentatively planned for the beginning of May regarding this matter. Cook’s father, Jeramy, stated that they were certain he would make a full recovery.
Jeramy Cook said to WUSA, “We live on faith, not fear. According to Tanner Cook, he is not upset with Colie. He added that creating videos is his life’s passion and he has no intention of letting the sh**ting stop him. Cook said to the station, “I’m fine.”
