Andres Garcia, a Mexican actor born in the Dominican Republic, passed away on April 4, 2023. He was an instructor in scuba diving in Acapulco. He was one of the few remaining actors from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema at the time of his passing.
Andres Garcia, a well-known Dominican-Mexican actor, passed away at 81. Hepatic cirrhosis, the term for extensive liver scarring, caused his death. Garcia had been ill for a while. His wife, Margarita Portillo, was by his side when he passed away at their home in Acapulco.
Garcia underwent a blood transfusion on April 2, 2023, and Portillo claims that his body wasn’t in great shape. Portillo shared Garcia’s photo on Instagram along with the following statement to convey her sorrow:
With a pain that I did not know could be felt in my soul, I want to inform the public that I have always followed and loved my husband, family and friends, as well as the media, that my husband, Andrés García, the love of My loves, you are resting next to our Lord Jesus.

Hepatic cirrhosis: Causes, symptoms, prevention and more:
The Mayo Clinic describes cirrhosis as substantial liver scarring, which several liver diseases and illnesses, such as hepatitis or prolonged alcohol use can bring on. When the liver is injured for any reason, it tries to mend itself, which causes scar tissue to develop.

As cirrhosis worsens, scar tissue multiplies, and the liver’s capacity for function is weakened. Damage caused by cirrhosis cannot be reversed. However, it can be controlled if detected early enough.
Itchy skin, yellow discoloration of the skin and eyes, fluid buildup in the belly, spider-like blood vessels on the skin, redness in the palms of the hands, pale fingernails, clubbing of the fingers, disorientation, drowsiness, and slurred speech are among the usual symptoms, according to MEDizzy.
Those with viral hepatitis, excess weight, and heavy alcohol use are more likely to develop cirrhosis. Reducing alcohol intake, eating a nutritious diet, maintaining a healthy weight, and lowering the risk of hepatitis are all ways to avoid the issue.
