On Saturday afternoon, two Western Wisconsin police officers were shot and ki**ed while conducting a traffic check. The event, according to the Barron County Sheriff’s Department, happened close to Cameron, roughly two hours outside of the Twin Cities.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice reported that an exchange of gunfire occurred around 3:38 p.m. as a Chetek Police Department officer was conducting a traffic stop.
Both the Chetek and Cameron officers were declared deceased when they arrived on the scene. The suspect visited a hospital, where they ultimately passed away. The cops and the individual involved were not immediately identified by the authorities.
No information was given regarding what exactly happened before the sh**ting. Tony Evers, governor of Wisconsin, expressed his concern for the neighborhood following “this awful tragedy.”

The neighborhood is in shock after learning of the policemen’s de@ths. “Of course, it destroys it. makes it tense, “Kate King, a resident of Cameron, remarked. “Always unsure of whom to believe or what will happen next. It is a terrifying thing.”
A number of police agencies used Facebook to express their condolences to those hurt in the event.
“We were heartbroken to learn that two police officers had died in Barron County. Our thoughts and prayers are with the officers’ families, as well as with their coworkers, friends, and the communities they served “Facebook posts were made by the Oconto Police Department.
The incident is being investigated by the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation with support from numerous other local and state agencies.
