Swank revealed that she would be a first-time mother to twins during an interview with “Good Morning America” in October. It’s wonderful to be able to discuss and share it, she said. She went on to win another Oscar after taking home the first one for “Boys Don’t Cry” for the role of boxer Maggie Fitzgerald in “Million Dollar Baby.”
She took a three-year break from acting to take care of her father, but she made a comeback in 2018 for the movie “What They Had,” in which she played a woman taking care of her mother who has Alzheimer’s disease. She most recently appeared in the television program “Alaska Daily,” which earned her a nomination for Best Actress in a drama series. She and her husband went to the ceremony in January.
She joked that she had to cut her jeans open on the set of “Alaska Daily” after announcing her pregnancy during an appearance on “Live with Kelly and Ryan.” Swank frequently posted updates about her pregnancy on Instagram, and one of those posts featured an ultrasound image she dubbed “Million Dollar Baby” because it showed the unborn child seemingly flexing a muscle.
