According to reports, “Green Book” actor Frank Vallelonga Jr. passed away as a result of an accidental overdose of fentanyl and cocaine.
According to the information that was sent to the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday by the New York City medical examiner, the performer’s official cause of death was “acute intoxication due to the combined effects of fentanyl and cocaine.” He was 60.
After receiving a 911 call about a guy who was unconscious and lying on the pavement in front of a sheet metal plant in the Bronx in November, officers arrived at the site and pronounced Vallelonga dead at the scene. The driver of Vallelonga’s vehicle, a guy named Steven Smith from the Bronx, was subsequently detained by the police on suspicion of covering up a human corpse.

According to the reports made at the time, Smith told the authorities that Vallelonga died of a drug overdose and that he “didn’t have anything to do with” his passing.
Vallelonga made an appearance in the film “Green Book” as Rudy Vallelonga, a relative of the bouncer character Tony Lip, played by Viggo Mortensen. The historical drama, which was written by Vallelonga’s brother, Nick Vallelonga, and was based on Vallelonga’s father, Frank “Tony Lip” Vallelonga, won three Oscars in 2019: one for best picture, one for supporting actor (Mahershala Ali), and one for original screenplay.
According to the reports, the police discovered a vehicle in the area where the body of Frank Vallelonga Jr. had been discarded that had a license plate that was registered to Nick Vallelonga.
